I just found the Garmin Colorado 400T for $278 on Amazon. It was originally $600. The Garmin site says they are discontinued. It will work for automotive, trails, and geo-caching. I am hoping for the best. I have not received it in the mail yet.
Hi Derek, there are tons of good trails and old logging roads in the Jemez without going too extreme. Some of the interesting places also have more than one route (one rough and quick, one easier but more circuitous). A fairly easy ride though I have not made it there yet personally is tea kettle rock. Circumnavigating the caldera is also not difficult if you stay to the main road (FR144), but is a pretty long ride. The desert isn't too bad either if you stay to the main roads, although they can get sections of powder if it's been awhile since the last rain. An easy ride is up the pipeline road to Cabezon peak. There are also some neat ruins out there. Keep your eyes open for a ride out there this winter as the roads will be closed in the Jemez until spring.

Hi Derek, those are the Gilman tunnels. The turnoff from Hwy 4 north of the Walatowa visitor center is to the left and called 485. After the tunnels it turns into FR376 and continues up to Hwy 126 just west of La Cueva. It is paved till just past the tunnels then turns to gravel.
