How about meeting at the Route 66 Casino gas station west of Albuquerque (I40 at the Rio Puerco) at 9:00?

WT, I may be interested (weather permitting). The road you are talking about from highway 6 down through the Alamo Reservation is easy. The weather we are having could turn the road to slick mud.

Wendell, thanks for the great pictures.

Thanks for guiding us through the Badlands, Joey. I had a good time. Couldn't have asked for better weather.

Hey joey I am thinking of going to the Palomas Gap area this Sunday and Monday to look around. I will like to do an easy/slow ride for plenty of exploring for pictures. I will be staying overnight Sunday in TorC, not sure if I am going to hotel it or take my toy hauler. I will probably take my DRZ250, I am working on the DR650, new springs and other stuff, but I don't have it all done yet, I am waiting for parts.

Anyway, juts thought I would throw it out there, the Palomas Gap, just for in case you might be interested.

Joey,
Looks like Buggs is interested in my planned Continental Divide Ride across NM in June--any interest?

Hi Joey!

I can't believe how time flies....
Sorry to hear the carpal tunnel is worse, and your knee is bad. I hurt my back somehow (I'm still not sure how), right before we went to Florida. I was almost unable to walk...and get on the plane! Once in Florida, I took it pretty easy, just snorkeling and working on getting back to normal. I also discovered we needed a new mattress at home when I slept on a more firm one in Florida and found some relief.

I'm pretty much back to normal now, and looking for heated gloves. My fingers is where I suffer most when riding those eary morning hours. I have to admit I've only been riding about 1-2 times a week, taking advantage of the warmer days. I really don't like arriving and being unable to move my hands, finding it hard just to turn the bike off and lock it.

I forgot just what you do at Riccobene's. Did you find out if Debbie Riccobene (that went to St. Pius) is part of their family? I still remember her.

Take care, and I'm looking forward to riding to Ponderosa together!

Hi Camille, Happy New Year.
I'm still working at Riccobene's, I have really aggrivated the carpal tunnel problem in boath hands and now have a knee bothering me. I'm not used to being on my feet all day long. I'm going to try to go on Buggs Badlands/Cabezon ride this Sunday. I hope to see you there.

I would like to do the ride to Ponderosa with you when the weather is warm.

The only thing I have found to keep my hands warm on the XT is the Bat Wing covers Cindy made for my bike. I use regular insulated gloves under the covers and have warm hands.

Hello Joey - and Happy New Year!

I thought I sent this message before, but when I thought I hit "Add a comment," I got a message that you chose to Moderate your messages. I don't know if you'll get this message twice, if so, forgive me. But I couldn't find any sign that it was actually sent or posted to you.

A Ponderosa ride sounds great! I'll get a hold of my friends for specific directions. Do you know the area well? I'd really like to get back to exercising their horses when I get the chance -especially in the summer. What a day that would make - ride the XT to Ponderosa, ride horseback for a while, then back on the XT. Nirvana!

And finally, what were the type of heated gloves you said work with our XT's, again? I've been cleaning house and don't know if my notes on what you said got thrown out. My hands are killing me, even with 3 1/2 mile rides to work. I even have trouble peeling them off the grips :^)This is the only thing causing me to reflect when conditions are cold but dry. I want to keep up my riding!!
Best Regards,
Camille
