Turkey canyon is in Queen...Remember you Jeeped there about a month or so ago !!!!! You think a KLR will make it through there ???
I've got the 550 too, but didn,t want to spring for the hi $$$ xm antenna...I've got a Sky-Fi 3 with a bluetooth transmitter and the Camos BTS-200 reciever in my helmet.
I think I would steer clear of the ammo boxes and go with the MRE boxes just for the weight savings....I'm running the Pelican 1430 top loaders on the sides and a 1520 on a aluminum diamond plate mount.....Here's where I ordered them from if you want to check em' out.... http://www.boss-safety.com/shop/index.php

- Hey Darell...I rode up to Turkey Canyon Sunday night and camped out at the top of the hill. then Monday morning I left my camping gear and rode into the canyon for a short scouting run....It's do-able, but would'nt recommend it for a noob rider....I might run back up to Pinon this weekend and try out my new bivy tent and check out some of the backroads around Weed and Sacramento....I love it up there....Last time I was up there a few weeks ago ,I ran up on a couple of elk with full racks just off the Surveyor's Canyon road...I was impressed.
You should ride your KLR to the meeting Thursday...I am !!!
Tommy is getting one soon and I think Sambo is looking for one too, and maybe it'll light a fire under there butts to get out and ride !!!!
