Wow! I wanna get out on the track! I am in Sacramento til next week though. Hope there are more days left this summer.

I'm now going to pull out all the stops to get off work on Friday. Assuming that happens, I have two options for the ride up on the beast:

There will be a lot of different groups taking off on different ride routes, many with gas stops along the way, so you probably wouldn't have to tote gas along....
Well, I just saw this ride. Damn that is enticing. I could do Thurs thru Sat. Making the drive back Sat night. Anyone know the per day bike mileage? I'm assuming I'll need to tote a gas can as usual.

I checked on motorcycle rentals in ABQ last year and they are pretty darn expensive to rent. But - I REALLY want to ride around on some of the dirt roads and narrow, twisty mountain roads down in NM. My ex-boyfriend and I rode down to NM from AK several summers ago on his BMW Adventure and we had fun, although we didn't have the opportunity to ride on dirt. The triple-digit temperatures in June really did us in though and we couldn't wait to return to the higher elevations in the mountains. Happy Hump Day!
